Youth Square is a project commissioned by the HKSAR Government’s Home Affairs Bureau and aims to realize the Bureau’s vision and purpose in promoting social harmony and civic education. The project is managed and operated by New World Facilities Management Company.
Recently on July 22-26, the UN Office for South-South Cooperation Regional Office for Asia and Pacific consulted Youth Square on supporting a Youth South-South Academy on Entrepreneurship programme. The discussions culminated in the Statement of Support that follows:
“The expression of support is based on prior collaboration with the UN Office for South-South Cooperation, School of Business, Gratia Christian College and the UNESCO Association, Hong Kong (SAR), notably the “Youth Dialogue” that took place in Hong Kong in March 2018 and the subsequent exhibition on the same subject at the Regional Consultative Meeting towards the Second UN High-level Conference on South-South Cooperation that took place on 27-29 June in Bangkok, Thailand.
We are interested in the aspects of the digital capacity building project that will help interested countries build up knowledge on the digital economy, build mutual learning and cultural understanding and assist in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.” Doris Luey, Youth Square, Hong Kong
