The UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) and Shenzhen Haohan Technology Information Ltd have co-developed the “Youth Triangular Cooperation Academy for Sustainable Development Agenda (YTCA4SDA). Each year, YTCA4SDA will provide training focusing on sustainability education and run student competition for the youth from the Global South in Asia-Pacific.
Following training, student participants will develop their own initiatives to tackle a specific problem within the scope of one SDG. Student participants will develop valuable transferable skills through YTCA4SDA’s Project Based Learning (PBL) approach. The YTC4SDA will be implemented under UNOSSC’s Youth4South Platform.
YTCA4SDA 2020 is now open for application. Applicants must complete the online application form here.
All training provided will be free. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to interact with invited mentors who are renowned professors, industry experts and entrepreneurs who are keen to share their knowledge with the youth population.
Successful applicants who complete the training will also receive an official certificate from UNOSSC. Furthermore, by participating in the YTCA4SDA’s program, participants will develop valuable skills including Collaboration, Data Analysis, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Problem Solving, Leadership and Presentation. These transferable skills will be particularly useful when participants enter the workforce in the future.

The United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC) launched the “Youth for South: Advanced Youth Leadership Programme” with several partners in 2017 with the intention to facilitate capacity development for established youth leaders from developing countries to learn and adapt South-South and triangular cooperation knowledge and tools in scaling up Southern development solutions with the objective of bringing sustainable development to their home countries and local communities.
About Shenzhen Haohan Technology Information Limited
Shenzhen Haohan is an education start-up focusing on developing PBL (Project Based Learning) courses and training for K12 and university students. Shimmer SDGs Hub is China ’s first independent school founded by High school students and dedicated to the sustainable development goals of the United Nations. It helps young Chinese students speak to the world and tell Chinese stories to make them grow into A non-profit platform for the new Chinese youths of world citizenship. The main core staff of the team are young students from the top domestic and foreign institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, the University of Political Science in Paris, Northwestern University, McGill University, Shenzhen International Exchange School, and Shanghai Middle School.
